Two Double Crochet Rows at Time

“TWO DOUBLE CROCHET ROWS AT TIME” – BY HILARIA FINA

This is a crochet tip that allows you to crochet two rows of double crochet at the same time, so easy and quick.

For the sample I chained 10, but you can chain any number depending of the width you need.Then, add 5 chains.

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED

DOUBLE CROCHET (abbrev. dc)
YO, insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), YO and pull through the first 2 loops on hook (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through the remaining 2 loops on hook.

START CROCHETING |

TO BEGIN | multiple any number + 5 chains

ROW 01 & 02 |YO, insert hook in third chain from hook, YO, 

skip 2 chains, insert hook in the next chain through back bump, YO and pull up loop 

(5 loops on hook), [YO and pull through 2 loops] repeat for total of 4 times. 

Then, YO, insert hook in shorter diagonal post of stitch, YO, insert hook in next ch through back bump, YO and pull up loop (5 loops on hook), [YO and pull through 2 loops] repeat for total of 4 times.

Repeat to end of row.

ROW 03 & 04 |5 chains, YO and insert hook into 3rd ch from hook, YO, skip 2 chains, insert hook in first stitch, YO and pull up loop (5 loops on hook), [YO and pull through 2 loops] repeat for total of 4 times.

Then, YO, insert hook in shorter diagonal post of stitch, YO, insert hook in next stitch, YO and pull up loop (5 loops on hook), [YO and pull through 2 loops] repeat for total of 4 times.

Repeat to end of row.
