Thermal Single Crochet Stitch

“THERMAL SINGLE CROCHET STITCH” – BY HILARIA FINA

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED

CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.

SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on your hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.

START CROCHETING | THERMAL STITCH

Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.

Number of rows in pattern repeat : 1

Reversible.

TO BEGIN: any number of chains + 1 turning chain. 

ROW 01. Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, sc to end.

ROW 02. ch, turn, insert hook through back loop of first sc and unworked back loop of initial chain, YO and pull through both loops (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook. Repeat in each st to end.

ROW 03. ch, turn, insert hook through back loop of first sc and unworked back loop of row below, YO and pull through both loops (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook. Repeat in each st to end.

Repeat Row 03 until you reach desired length.

TO FINISH: ch, turn, insert hook through both loops of first sc and unworked back loop of row below, YO and pull through 2 loops (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook. 

Repeat in each st to end.

Be careful not to skip the very last stitch in each row, it can be tricky to find.
