Stockinette stitch has 2 sides: right one and wrong one.

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED


CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull the yarn through the loop on the hook.

HALF DOUBLE CROCHET SLIP STITCH (abbrev. hdcss)
YO, insert your hook into the stitch, YO and pull the yarn through the stitch and through two loops on hook.

THROUGH BACK LOOP (abbrev. tbl)
The back loop is furthest away from you.

THROUGH THIRD LOOP(abbrev. ttl)
The third loop is just below the front loop of the stitch.

CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
Usually you crochet in the right side of the chain. When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.

  • ABBREVIATIONS

    • hdcss-tbl = half double crochet slip stitch through back loop
    • hdcss-ttl = half double crochet through third loop



STOCKINETTE STITCH


  • Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
  • Number of rows in pattern repeat : 2
  • No reversible.

TO BEGIN | any number of chains +1 turning chain.

R1 | starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, 1 hdcss in each ch to end.

R2 |1 ch, turn, 1 hdcss-tbl in each stitch to end.

R3 |1 ch, turn, 1 hdcss-ttl in each stitch to end.

Repeat R2 y R3 until desired size is reached.
