SLIP KNOT
With about 15 cm of yarn, make a loop. Insert your hook through the center of the loop, draw the end of the yarn through the loop, and pull on the tail to tighten.
CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.
SLIP STITCH (abbrev. sl st)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through stitch and loop on hook.
TROUGH BACK LOOP (abbrev. tbl)
The back loop is furthest away from you.
BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
Usually you crochet in the right side of the chain. When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch. Insert your hook under this back bump.
ABBREVIATIONS
- ch = chain
- slst = slip stitch
- tbl = through back loop

START CROCHETING | SLIP STITCH THROUGH BACK LOOP
Turning chain at the beginning of row do not count as a stitch.
Number of rows in pattern repeat : 1
To begin: multiple 1 +1.
Row 01. Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, slst in each st to end of chain.
Row 02. ch, turn, slst-tbl in each st to end of row.
Repeat row 02 until desired height is reached.
