AQUÍIt is easy to work using only single crochet and chain stitches.
STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED
CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.
CHAIN SPACE
To create a stitch within a chain space, just insert your hook into the space/hole/gap (underneath the chain) to make your stitch.
SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on your hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.
CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.
START CROCHETING | SIEVE STITCH
Turning chain at the beginning of row do not count as a stitch.
Number of rows in pattern repeat : 2
TO BEGIN | multiple 2 + 1 + 1 turning chain.
R1 | Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, 1 sc in each ch to end.
R2 | 1 ch, turn, 1 sc in first stitch, [1 ch, skip 1 st, 1 sc in next stitch] repeat to end.
R3 | 1 ch, turn, [skip 1 st, (2 sc) in chain space] repeat to end, 1 sc in last stitch.
Repeat R2 to R3 until you reach desired size.
