AQUÍIt is easy to work using only single crochet and chain stitches.
STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED
CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.
CHAIN SPACE
To create a stitch within a chain space, just insert your hook into the space/hole/gap (underneath the chain) to make your stitch.
SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on your hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.
CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.
START CROCHETING | SIEVE STITCH
Turning chain at the beginning of row do not count as a stitch.
Number of rows in pattern repeat : 2
Crochet a foundation chain with an odd number of chains + 1 turning chain.
ROW 1. Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, sc in each ch to end.
ROW 2. ch, turn, sc in first stitch, [ch, skip stitch, sc in next stitch] repeat to end.
ROW 3. ch, turn, (2sc) in each chain space to end, sc in last stitch.
ROW 4. ch, turn, sc in first stitch, [ch, skip next stitch, sc in next stitch] repeat to end.
Repeat rows 03 to 04 until you reach desired size.
