“SAIMAA CROCHET RIBBING STITCH” – BY HILARIA FINA

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED

CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.

SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on your hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.

FRONT POST SINGLE CROCHET (fpsc)
Insert hook from front to back and then to the front again around post of indicated st, YO and pull up loop, YO and pull through 2 loops on hook.

CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.

START CROCHETING | RIBBING STITCH

• Turning chain at the beginning of row counts as a stitch.
• Number of rows in pattern repeat : 1
• Reversible.

To begin | chain any number  + 1 turning chain

Row 01 | Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, sc until the end.

Row 02 | ch, turn, skip first sc, fpsc to last st, sc on top of turning ch.

Repeat from row 02 until reach the desired size.
