They also look fantastic on garments, for example on sleeves or along the hem of a skirt, creating a delicate and feminine effect. And of course, they are a lovely way to personalize home textiles, such as kitchen towels, coasters, tablecloths, or even curtains.

This crochet ruffle is very easy to make. It doesn’t matter how many stitches your work has, as it can be added over any number of stitches and over almost any crochet stitch, quickly creating a ruffle full of volume and movement.

STEP BY STEP PATTERN

Start Crocheting

R1 | Start with a row of slip stitches with any number of stitches.

R2 | Ch 3 and turn your work.
Beginning in the first stitch, work 3 dc in the same stitch. In the next stitch, work 3 dc again.

Continue repeating 3 dc in each stitch across the row.

R3 | Ch 3 and turn your work. Beginning in the first stitch, work 1 dc.

Continue working 1 dc in each stitch across the row.
