CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.
HALF DOUBLE CROCHET SLIP STITCH (abbrev. hdcss)
YO, insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through stitch and through two loops on hook.
LONG DOUBLE CROCHET (abbrev. long dc)
Yo, insert hook through back and third loop of indicated st 3 rows below, YO and pull up long loop to height of previous stitch (3 loops on hook), YO and pull through 2 loops on hook (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through the remaining 2 loops on hook.
THROUGH BACK LOOP (abbrev. tbl)
The back loop is furthest away from you.
CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.

No reversible.
TO BEGIN | chain a multiple of 6 + 5 + 1.
R1| Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, 1 hdcss in each st to end.
R2 – R4| 1 ch, turn, 1 hdcss-tbl in each st to end.
R5 | 1 ch, turn, [5 hdcss-tbl, 1 long dc in next sts 4 rows below] repeat to last 5 sts, 5 hdcss-tbl.
R6 – R8 | 1 ch, turn, 1 hdcss-tbl in each st to end.
R9 | 1 ch, turn, 2 hdcss-tbl, 1 long dc in next st 4 rows below, [5 hdcss-tbl, 1 long dc in next st 4 rows below] repeat to last 2 sts, 2 hdcss-tbl.
Repeat R2 to R9 until you reach desired size.
