Romanian Crochet Cord

“ROMANIAN CROCHET CORD” – BY HILARIA FINA

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED

CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.

SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on your hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.

START CROCHETING | ROMANIAN SIMPLE

To begin: make a slip knot and then 2ch.

Step 01. sc in 2nd ch from hook through back loop. 

Step 02. sc in first ch.

Step 03. turn, sc in 2 loops just under your hook.

Keep turning and working in the same direction for every stitch. Do not work too tightly or it will be difficult to insert the hook in next stitches.

START CROCHETING | ROMANIAN 3D

TO BEGIN | make a knotless knot and then 2ch.

STEP 01 | make sc in 2nd and 3rd ch from hook.

STEP 02 | turn work clockwise, sc in turning chain.

STEP 03 | turn slightly, sc through next two loops.

Repeat step 03 until you reach the desired length.

TO FINISH: turn slightly, slst through next two loops.

Do not work too tightly.

Keep turning and working in the same direction for every stitch. Do not work too tightly or it will be difficult to insert the hook in next stitches.
