Pre-Roman populations in the Northwest of Iberian Peninsula lived in villages called “castros” (fort). These villages could be in incredible places, on hilltops or right on the seacoast. Houses architecture is circular, they are grouped in an apparently chaotic urbanism that adapts itself to the natural slopes of the land, with a total lack of urban plan organization.
