CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.
SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.
DOUBLE CROCHET (abbrev. dc)
YO, insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), YO and pull through the first 2 loops on hook (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through the remaining 2 loops on hook.
CROSSED DOUBLE CROCHET
Skip next stitch, one double crochet in next 2 stitches, one double crochet in skipped stitch.
THROUGH BACK LOOP (abbrev. tbl)
The back loop is furthest away from you.
CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
Usually you crochet in the right side of the chain. When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.
START CROCHETING | PUNTO PALMA
Turning chain at the beginning of row do not count as a stitch.
Number of rows in pattern repeat : 4
TO BEGIN | multiple 3 + 2 + 1 turning chain.
R1 | Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, 1 sc in each st to end of chain.
R2 | 1 ch, turn, 1 sc-tbl in each st to last st, 1 sc in last.
R3 – R4 | 1 ch, turn, 1 dc in first st, [skip next st, 1 dc in next 2 sts, 1 dc in skipped st] repeat to last st, 1 dc in last st .
R5 – R6 – 1 ch, turn, 1 sc-tbl in each st to last st, 1 sc in last.
Repeat R3 to R6 until desired size is reached.
