STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED


CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.

SLIP STITCH (abbrev. sl st)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through all 2 loops on hook.

HALF DOUBLE CROCHET SLIP STITCH (abbrev. hdcss)
YO, insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through stitch and through two loops on hook.

THROUGH BACK LOOP (abbrev. tbl)
The back loop is furthest away from you.

CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.



  • ABBREVIATIONS

      • ch = chain
      • hdcss = half double crochet slip stitch
      • slst = slip stitch
      • tbl = through back loop
      • WS = wrong side
      • RS = rige side



START CROCHETING | RIBBING STITCH


  • Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
  • Number of rows in pattern repeat : 2
  • No reversible.

TO BEGIN |chain any number of chains + 1 turning chain

ROW 01 (WS)| starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, hdcss to end.

ROW 02 (RS)| ch, turn, slst-tbl to end.

ROW 03| ch, turn, hdcss-tbl to end.

Repeat rows 02 and 03 until reaching the desired size.

NOTES | keep in mind that the right side of the stitch will always correspond to an even-numbered row.
