I-Cord Crochet

“I-CORD CROCHET” – BY HILARIA FINA

También disponible en: Español

This technique allows non-knitters to make an i-cord identical to a knitted version.

STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED

CADENETA (abrev. cad)
Echar hebra y pasarla a través de la lazada del ganchillo.

START CROCHETING | i-cord 2

TO BEGIN | make 3 ch.

STEP 01 | insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on hook), insert hook in next ch, YO and pull up loop (3 loops on hook).

STEP 02 | Remove first two loops on hook, YO and pull up loop, insert hook in next loop, YO and pull up loop, insert hook into next loop, YO and pull up loop (3 loops on hook).

Repeat step 02 until you reach the desired length.

Shape the cord with your fingers and you’ll see how it takes on a nice round design.

TO FINISH | close all the loops. Remove all of them leaving only the last two, and pass the first one through the second. Continue picking up loop by loop and pass the first one through the second until you finish with all of them.
