This technique of casting on stitches using two hooks is not limited to just Tunisian crochet, but can also be applied to knitting. In fact, it is possible to substitute one of the hooks with a needle and achieve excellent results.

When it comes to Tunisian crochet, this method allows you to work more efficiently and quickly without having to make foundation chain.

Using this technique can be very beneficial as it not only saves time, but also improves the appearance of projects.

Tip: It is important to adjust the tension. If you crochet too tightly, you can increase the hook size by 1-2 mm.

START CROCHETING |

Knotless Start

Make a very loose slip knot.

Insert first hook into loop of slip knot.

Insert second hook into back loop of knot.

Casting on stitches

Align hooks next to each other.

Step 01. Pull working yarn around both hooks.

Step 02. Pull through one loop with the working hook.

Repeat steps 2 and 3.

When having enough stitches, pass loop on working hook onto other hook with all other loops.

If you did this part with a larger hook, then transfer loops to another hook now.
