CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.
SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull up loop (2 loops on hook), YO again and pull through both loops on hook.
FRONT SIDE LOOP STITCH
Wrap yarn around thumb and bring it to the front of work, keeping finger at the desired length for loop. Without releasing thumb in loop, push loop to the right, insert hook in stitch and make a regular single crochet. Then, release loop off your thumb.
CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.
START CROCHETING | FRONT SIDE LOOP STITCH
Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
Number of rows in pattern repeat : 2.
TO BEGIN: make a slip knot and chain any number of chains + 1 turning chain
ROW 01. Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, sc to end.
ROW 02. ch, turn, front side loop stitch to end.
ROW 03. ch, turn, sc to end.
Repeat rows 02 & 03 until desired length is reached.
