“COBBLE CROCHET STITCH” | HOW TO

PATTERN INFORMATION

Stitches & Techniques Used

CHAIN 
YO and pull through loop on hook.

SINGLE CROCHET 
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through the stitch (2 loops on hook), YO and pull through both loops on hook at once.

TREBLE CROCHET 
YO twice, insert hook into the stitch, YO and pull the yarn through the stitch (4 loops on the hook),YO and pull through the first 2 loops on the hook (3 loops remain on the hook), YO and pull through the first 2 loops again (2 loops remain on the hook), YO again and pull through the remaining 2 loops on the hook.

THROUGH BACK LOOP 
The back loop is furthest away from you.

CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN ⇒ VIDEO
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.

Abbreviations

ch  = chain
sc = single crochet
sc-tbl = single crochet through back loop
st (s) = stitch (es)
tr  = treble crochet
YO = yarn over
[…] = When part of the instructions repeats throughout, it’ll be placed between brackets.

STEP BY STEP PATTERN

Notes

• Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
• Number of rows in pattern repeat : 2

Start crocheting

TO BEGIN | multiple of 2 +  1 + 1 turning chain.

R1 | Crochet in back bumps, starting in 2nd back bump of the chain, 1 sc in each ch across.

R2 | 1 ch, turn, [1 sc, 1 tr] repeat to last st, 1 sc in last st.

R3 | 1 ch, turn, 1 sc-tbl  in each st.

Repeat R2 and R3 until you reach desired size.

Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.
