Braided Cord

If you need to crochet a cord and are looking for an alternative to the classic chain, I’ll show you a very simple method. It’s crocheted just as quickly as a chain, but the result is much more attractive.

I recommend you trying this braided version.

START CROCHETING |

STEP 01 | Make a slip knot, but leave it loose.

STEP 02 | Insert the crochet hook through the knot, yarn over, and pull it through both loops on the hook.

STEP 03 | Insert the crochet hook through the loop closest to the hook, yarn over, and pull it through both loops.

Repeat this last step until you achieve the desired length.
