“BERRY CROCHET EDGE” – FREE PATTERN

SLIP STITCH (abbrev. sl st)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through stitch and loop on hook.

BERRY STITCH
Yarn over and insert hook in stitch, yarn over and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through 1st loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and insert hook in same stitch, yarn over and pull up loop (5 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through all 5 loops on hook.

Start Crocheting

BERRY EDGE

TO BEGIN | place a slip knot on hook.

STEP 01 | 1 slst in first stitch.

STEP 02 | yarn over, insert hook in next st, yo and pull up loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through 1st loop (3 loops on hook), yarn over, insert hook into same st, yo and pull through stitch (5 loops on hook), yarn over and pull yarn through all 5 loops.

STEP 03 | 1 slst in next st.

Repeat steps 2 and 3, alternating one berry stitch and one slip stitch, until the end of the row.

If your berries are too close to each other, work more slip stitches between each berry, instead of just one.
