STITCHES AND TECHNIQUES USED


CHAIN (abbrev. ch)
YO and pull through the loop on hook.

SLIP STITCH (abbrev. sl st)
Insert hook in stitch, YO and pull through stitch and loop on hook.

SINGLE CROCHET (abbrev. sc)
It is a regular single crochet stitch with a slight variation, instead of placing your yarn over your hook as you would for a regular single crochet stitch, you are going to yarn under.
Insert hook in stitch, yarn under and pull up loop (2 loops on your hook), YO and pull through both loops on hook.

CROCHETING INTO THE BACK BUMP OF A CHAIN ⇒ VIDEO
When you turn your chain, you’ll see a small ‘bump’ on the wrong side of each stitch.



START CROCHETING |


  • Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
  • Number of rows in pattern repeat : 1

TO BEGIN |multiple of 2 +1 + 1 turning chain.

R1 | Crochet in back bumps, starting in 2nd ch from hook, [1 slst, 1 sc-x] repeat to the last st, 1 slst in last st.

R2 | 1 ch, turn, [1 slst, 1 sc-x] to the last st, 1 slst in last st.

Repeat R2 until you reach desired size.
