START CROCHETING | ALMOND STITCH
- Turning chain at the beginning of row does not count as a stitch.
- Number of rows in pattern repeat : 4
- Not reversible.
TO BEGIN | multiple 8 + 4 + 1 turning chain.
R1 | Starting in 2nd ch through back bumps, 4 slst, [4 hdc, 4 slst] to end.
R2 – 03 | 1 ch, turn, 4 hdc-tbl, [4slst-tbl, 4 hdc-tbl] repeat to end.
R4 – R5 | 1 ch, turn, 4 slst-tbl, [4 hdc-tbl, 4 slst-tbl] repeat to end.
Repeat R2 to R5 until you reach desired size.
TO FINISH | crochet R2 to maintain the symmetry of the swatch.
TIPS
1- Try your best to make the slip stitches as loosely as possible, making it easier to insert hook for the next rows.
2- To get straighter edges without holes the last stitch is worked through the back loop and the turning chain.
